Prof Lam Pham, Swinburne University of Technology will present on the compliance situation caused by NCC and the verification of performance solutions. This will then be followed by a discussion about the work that Swinburne has done on behalf of both ACSEV and FFSV in the past and the work that is to be done with the $20,000 per organisation, per year with regards to handbooks and other investigations.
Steve Buratto from Buratt Consulting & Patrick Irwin from Irwin Structures will jointly present on submission made to change Australian Standard 2870 in Sydney and some of the questions that need to be answered before we proceed further with changes to the code. This is an absolute must as the deemed to comply section of AS2870 is under great pressure, particularly in H2 sites.
